Siemens has recently made the grand opening in Madrid of it’s I+I+D Railway Technology Center, focused in railway signaling and control, plus new technology generation for the same industry.
With the head office in Tres Cantos, Madrid this unique European center will handle 350 employees and an annual Budget of 20 million euro that will allow the development of the future railway technology to be exported worldwide. Inside this building stands out the Siemens Demo Center, created totally by GESAB, from its conceptualization & design to the finishes, materials and technology selection plus execution of the project. The showroom has been conceived as a reference place for Siemens.
The Demo Center is a multidisciplinary area provided with the latest technology to visualize, by video walls and different control consoles the main lines of the Company activity, virtual demonstrations, employee’s trainings or business meetings, among others.
The Siemens & GESAB teams involved in this project have kept a full meeting in this area as an evaluation and testing the development of the room, that has received till the moment more than 40 visits from which stands out the visit of Your Royal Haines The King of Spain Felipe VI, outlined in the 120 anniversary of Siemens in Spain that also counted with the presence of the Siemens Company World President , Joe Kaeser and Rosa García, Spain Siemens Company President, plus other political and business personalities like the Minister Ana Pastor, among others.
Felipe VI placed himself in simulator controls situated in the Demo Center created by GESAB, where he could experience the sensations of a train driver inside the control cabin, using all the controls and even hearing the real sound at each moment.
Both Siemens as GESAB share the same vision over innovation, technological development and design centered in the people with the main goal to contribute to a more modern and balanced society.
