A safe, efficient, and highly ergonomic environment for the 24/7 management of police alerts in the new control room.
The security of a city depends to a large extent on its local police control center. A critical environment, equipped with modern systems, ergonomic technical furniture, advanced management technology, and well-suited spaces, is essential for the efficient performance of the operators working in the control room.
Renovation of the police control room
To gain the full benefits of a secure and advanced environment, the Igualada Local Police initiated a renovation of their control room. The local government of this Catalan town took charge of the project, seeking the most ergonomic, adaptable, and high-quality technical furniture available on the market.
In the course of their search, they were able to visit the Sabadell Local Police control center, where they were introduced to our Advantis NG control consoles, following which we were invited to participate in the project.
New ergonomic and efficient environment
Initially, the plan was to install a custom control console with two operator positions facing the video wall, complemented by 24/7 ergonomic chairs designed for tasks requiring high levels of concentration. However, due to the successful outcome of the new space, which enables the police to carry out their work safely and efficiently, people in charge decided to expand the setup by adding a third, single-position control console at the back of the room.
The results is a highly ergonomic critical environment that enables control room operators to manage situations and emergencies in a dynamic, secure manner that fosters concentration.
