The Sant Joan de Déu Hospital, specialized in paediatrics, gynecology and obstetrics, had the need to create a new clinical command center for the management of patient data and the control of medical data with the aim of being able to carry out faster, more efficient and effective decision making.
A new, more technologically advanced and ergonomic control center could help hospital employees offer greater safety to patients, as well as a better experience.
Trust placed in our solutions
Therefore, after discovering our solutions at the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) fair held in Barcelona, they decided to rely on the experience and professionalism of the GESAB team to develop the new critical environment. The team already had a previous control room but it had become too small to be able to integrate the required technological needs.
The furniture chosen was the Advantis NG control console model, complemented by ergonomic supports and monitors in the operating positions. This technical furniture offers high power and 24/7 reliability to operators, perfect to meet the needs of the hospital.
To accommodate all the operators in the room, five two-station consoles were designed and one more for the supervisor, which includes the sit & stand system that allows working in different postures, taking greater care of the worker’s health.
Advanced technology for source management
The operational positions were complemented with the advanced DeskWall system, which allows them to manage and control several sources with a single keyboard and mouse, as well as DataWall, our advanced video wall management system.
The biggest challenge that the GESAB team had to face was reaching a common point with the IT Department of the health center, although after carrying out several demos and allowing the use of DeskWall, its implementation flowed naturally.
The result: a world reference
Finally, the operators of the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital operate in a spectacular new clinical command center with all the ergonomic comforts necessary for a 24/7 critical environment, which includes the latest technology to carry out efficient operations. Now the sources are managed more efficiently and fluidly through our DeskWall system, as is the management of the video wall through DataWall.
