Maximum ergonomics, customization and high quality in the new Red de Carreteras de Occidente control center.
Red de Carreteras de Occidente (RCO) needed to implement a new control center to control a new section of roads from which to manage and control video surveillance cameras, road link nodes and other operator applications.
That’s why the company belonging to the Abertis Group held a public tender in which our team from Mexico participated by having a portfolio of high-end technical furniture, a fundamental requirement imposed by the client. Thus, GESAB managed to win the project, being the option chosen by RCO after also being the most competitive and appropriate option, since it not only offered high quality and aesthetic finishes personalized to the client’s image, but also high product durability and maximum ergonomics.
Control rooms and crisis room
The control center was located in the main space. The operators who monitor traffic were located, arranged in three rows of Advantis NG control consoles personalized with the company logo facing a large videowall; two of them with three operational positions and one with two.
In the space on the upper floor, the crisis room was placed with a meeting table from the Advantis NG range, in this case for 14 positions, customized to the design of the rest of the control consoles.
Full satisfaction with the final result
The final result of the project is a high-performance control center thanks to top-quality technical furniture that meets the highest and strictest ergonomic standards. In this way, the client was able to achieve ergonomic improvements, as well as a notable improvement in the space and distribution of the operators since the space was the most suitable for the number of people working in it.
To achieve the strict requirements set by the client, the GESA México team carried out exhaustive monitoring of each aspect of the project with the aim of taking care of every detail and ensuring that the expectations set by Red de Carreteras de Occidente were met. In addition, there was a specific date established for the inauguration of the control center and it had to be completed, for which the team worked on weekends.
The company was highly satisfied with the furniture designed and implemented, since it perfectly meets the aesthetic and functional requirements demanded.
