The integration of all the security control and management systems in the region provides the best efficiency and effectiveness in critical situations.
Safe.Brussels, the organization in charge of the centralized and transversal management of security in Brussels and the development of a regional security policy, decided to start a project to expand and improve its facilities, grouping the various police management units in one place.
The new space includes the Regional Crisis Center, which had to have the highest technology and ergonomics to achieve a high-performance and safe work environment, with the unique objective of achieving maximum efficiency for the operators.
In addition, a visually attractive space was also sought, with neat and simple lines, since from said critical environment a common response was going to be provided in the management of security and services of various entities such as police, firefighters, health and other auxiliary services for control in unexpected events, large sporting events, political events, as well as to develop strategic meetings or meetings with top-level personalities.
Absolute control with a single keyboard and mouse
The project sought to allow the simultaneous and integrated management of the different security operators located in a large control room divided into three areas: the first is where the police checkpoints are located, the second is the crisis room and the third for positions in other disciplines.
The 20 police workstations were equipped with Advantis NG control consoles, powerful ergonomic furniture prepared for the most demanding 24/7 critical environments. The consoles included the sit & stand system for the health care of the operators and were designed with individualized spaces and central bucks were located between each control station.
The ergonomic operating stations were completed with 19 units of our universal management platform DeskWall , allowing them complete control of sources, cameras and systems with a single keyboard and mouse.
We were looking for something that was easy to use and useful, something that was uniform and the same infrastructure for everyone involved. DeskWall was on the market and responded to the needs.

State-of-the-art crisis room
The crisis room is made up of a large videowall on which to display the information of interest to be discussed and a large meeting table for 32 users.
The table model, Advanced Multimedia Meeting Table, has integrated technology, such as microphones and retractable monitors, as well as personal dock stations for each position, seeking the best results in meetings. Integrated technology makes it easier for attendees to reach agreements in a more dynamic and agile way.
A global control center for security
Although they not only have the latest technology in the Regional Crisis Center, since the police posts for daily control of Brussels security are located on the upper floors. For this management, the client also decided to opt for DeskWall, with 42 positions managed with the universal management system.
This allows operators to have the same sources, systems or applications on both floors, being able to access them in case they have to go to the lower floor in an emergency.
The integration of all control systems through Deskwall and control consoles allows the Regional Crisis Center to complement the tools launched by the Belgian government on the coordination of security policies in the territory of its Global Prevention and Security Plan.
