Soluciones Eléctricas Mexicanas (SOELMEX) contacted our team with a very clear objective: to build an environment that realistically replicates the control post that the company integrates into the vessels.
The client’s mission is based on the engineering design, manufacturing and implementation of electrical systems for ships in Mexico, so having a showroom would allow them to strengthen the demonstration experience for clients, facilitate more concrete commercial conversations, as well as organize events. That is, they required a space where they could clearly and confidently show what an onboard control room with its integrated systems would look like.
Search for advanced technical furniture
To achieve their objective, they needed to have an ergonomic and elevating control console, allowing them to operate standing or sitting and, at the same time, integrate their control systems in a sample station. After consulting the market, they had not found an option that fit what they needed until they saw our technical furniture.
Thus, the proposed solution was a customized ACTEA Slide sit & stand control console for two operator positions: adjustments for the integration of its interfaces and equipment, drilling preparation and wiring guidance, in addition to a configuration designed for 24/7 use within the showroom.
Dynamic and efficient project
The entire project was able to develop without unforeseen events and was able to be executed within the times established by the client, despite the fact that given the large size of the console, the transfer of the technical furniture had to be carried out by the teams very precisely. In addition, an adaptation had to be made to its control systems, including specialized housing design for touch monitors (HMI), perforations for the equipment and wiring guides.
The SOELMEX team has been fully satisfied with the final result of its operational position, confirming that the console meets the defined requirements, including the most technical aspects.
