Wamos Air needed to implement a new 24/7 air traffic control room for internal use, a critical environment that must meet the highest standards of quality, functionality and ergonomics. To achieve this, they entrusted the design of the space to Grup Efebé, a specialist in the renovation of professional environments, who acted as the project’s integrator.

The airline already had another control room with conventional office furniture, but for the new critical environment it was essential to significantly improve operator ergonomics, comfort and safety.
In search of maximum ergonomics
To achieve the appropriate standards for a healthy and efficient environment, the architectural firm contacted our team due to our previous collaboration on a project. The high quality of our technical furniture, as well as its versatility and customization capabilities, made us the ideal partner for this challenge.

Advantis NG, the most suitable option
After receiving the ok from Wamos Air for our ergonomic control consoles, the GESAB team proceeded to review the proposed furniture design for the room. The space wasn’t very large, so they opted for a curved console for five, complemented by a trapezoidal console for the supervisor.

The Advantis NG model was chosen for its features, connectivity and excellent cable management. Each operator station was equipped with ergonomic dual monitor arms, ensuring comfortable and healthy working conditions.
In addition, the sides of both control consoles were customized with the client’s logo, reinforcing the corporate identity in a strategic space.

The desired ergonomics achieved
The end result is a fully operational and ergonomic control room that meets international standards, allowing operators to operate under optimal health, safety, and efficiency conditions.

The project managers at Wamos Air and Grup Efebé emphasized the achievement of all the established objectives, both technically and aesthetically. The new control room offers a spacious, well-organized and highly functional work environment, with optimized access to connections and systems, which promotes continuous performance and operational quality.
“We’ve greatly improved ergonomics. We now have a spacious workspace with easy access to connection systems for our personal devices,” told us the room operators.
