Implementation of custom Advantis Air control consoles offer operators great versatility and functionality in their daily performance
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has set the “Development of aviation security and airport security infrastructure” program, which includes the national integrated airport security and security project whose objective is to provide the airports of the Kingdom with the latest integrated systems jointly, one of the most important comprehensive security projects at airport level in the Kingdom, which includes 24 airports throughout the country.
To carry out the fulfillment of the project in 2019 they began on updating the Al-Ula International Airport, considered the main destination for the development of tourism in the Kingdom in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 plan, and witnessed a series of development projects implemented by the General Authority of Civil Aviation in cooperation with the Royal Commission for the Governance of Al-Ula.
GESAB and Martin Professional Middle East were selected to update the technical furniture of the Security Control and Control Center at the airport, due to its experience in critical environments and great capacity for adaptation and customization to the needs of each project. Thus, after two years of work, the facility has been inaugurated with the assistance of Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej, President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, the Governor of Al-Ula Rashid bin Abdullah Al-Qahtani and several officials from authority and members of the National Airport Security Committee.
A versatile control room
To achieve a versatile control room, easily adaptable and with a modern aesthetic that facilitated meeting the most demanding requirements of the control operators, the customer chose the Advantis Air control console.
This model was conceived by the GESAB of experts with the aim of introducing a minimalist, dynamic and light console to the market, in which a customized and strictly ergonomic design in compliance with international standards would facilitate the productivity of the room users as much as possible.
Completing the 24/7 workstations with ergonomic accessories, such as the monitor arms or the 24/7 chairs, and the aesthetic customization of the consoles through the inclusion of the GACA logo, complete workstations that are durable over time and that they reflect the new corporate image of the entity.
A global project over time
The project of GESAB with GACA, General Authority of Civil Aviation, has been developing for two years in terms of design and supply and continues during 2021, since after the success obtained in the first control rooms the quality of the control consoles is reaffirmed and customer confidence in the product of GESAB. For this reason, the installation of technical furniture continues in the rest of the 24 airports where GESAB and Martin Pro ME are already working.
