IESE, the business management school of the University of Navarra, was born in 1958 with the mission of educating and inspiring all managers who aspire to have a positive impact on people, companies and society. Since they developed their first program for executives called the Senior Business Management Program (SBMP), they have been training managers and businessmen who can take the reins of the future of companies and social institutions for more than 70 years.
Their desire and drive to be at the forefront of education in terms of educational tools and supports led them to contact us to update the furniture in their classrooms.
A commitment to the future, innovation and technology
In this way, IESE wanted to change the teachers’ tables in some classrooms to place more modern, less robust furniture and with simpler access to technology than what they had at that time. The classrooms had a natural wood table with a lift-up monitor integrated in the upper part and a rack integrated in the lower part where they located the electronic devices that the teachers must use during their days.

The proposed control console was Advantis Pod, GESAB’s modular console aimed at environments where a high density of equipment is required to be located in the workplace itself. Regarding the original model, the design team made the appropriate modifications to adapt the console to the client’s requirements, so space was provided for two racks on the sides to implement all the teaching equipment and the retractable monitor was integrated into the side upper floor as well as a multimedia area.
The construction material used for this technical furniture was also modified, manufacturing the structure in metal instead of CDF as is usual. The color, very dark anthracite grey, was also decided to give sobriety and elegance to the console and was finally decorated with the institution’s logo on the sides.

In addition, the console was prepared and designed so that in the future an elevating system could be integrated if requested by the client, without needing to change the entire unit.
“A few integration difficulties had to be discussed that in the end they worked perfectly. It was not a simple challenge and the result has been very satisfactory.”

A modern and sober result at the same time
The final result is a more modern space, aligned with IESE’s values of innovation and future that allows more space for technological devices. The ventilation of said equipment is also no longer compromised since, since it is technical furniture designed expressly to house equipment, the ventilation is adequate.

Customer satisfaction is complete thanks to the communication maintained at all times with our team of professionals, and having managed to achieve the objectives and requirements requested by IESE.
