GESAB has developed together with ENGIE Solutions Belgium the project of the new Regional Crisis Center for Bruxelles Prévention & Sécurité, an organization entrusted with the centralized and transversal management of the security in Brussels, as well as the development of a regional security policy.
The control center, inaugurated on September 28th by Rudi Vervoort, Minister-President of Brussels, is equipped with the newest cutting-edge technology and has the purpose to provide a common response in the mission of security management by joining all partners, federal and local police, State Security or STIB Security Services.
Designed to allow the simultaneous and integrated management of the different security operators, they will use it in various situations such as already planned events or emergency situations on a medium or large scale. The large videowall on the front wall will allow them to view the images released by hundreds of cameras installed throughout the city so that can get full control of events.
The integration of all the control systems through a dynamic KVM Deskwall from GESAB and the Advantis NG control consoles, allows the Regional Crisis Center to complement the tools implemented by the Belgian government for the coordination of security policies in the territory of its Global Prevention and Security Plan (GPSP).
In words of Rudi Vervoort “The center will be a key link in the new security architecture developed in all the country through the prism of a regional vision. It will support and strengthen all partners and operators active in the field. I am proud and happy with the result of this tool, essential for the Brussels Region. It will undoubtedly contribute to give it a new impetus within the framework of its competences regarding the maintenance of public order and security management ”.
There are several Belgian media that have echoed the news with a complete audiovisual report. The public television channels VRT NWS and RTBF, the BRUZZ digital platform or the institutional page of Rudi Vervoort, where the technological solutions used in the control center can be seen in action.
