Major events increasingly demand higher standards of broadcasting, so Eurovision Services decided to implement a Master Control Room in Madrid. Being larger than the facility established in 2019, it is currently one of the largest broadcasting facilities in Europe.
To carry out this project, they once again engaged Broad Service Technical Support, who had executed the previous project and who had relied on our advanced control consoles for the room’s operator workstations.
Efficient and productive space
The new space for the Master Control Room had specific dimensions and a particular shape, consequently, our team of architects developed a design that kept all cabling neatly and systematically concealed beneath the floor, while also incorporating technical furniture at varying heights to ensure optimal visibility of the monitored sources on the large-format video wall.
All operational workstations from the previous location were relocated to the new control room: custom Advantis New Generation control consoles featuring the backlit Eurovision Services logo on the side panels and specialized turrets used by operators in their work. The workstations were complemented by ergonomic mounts for large-format displays and ergonomic chairs.
For the new critical environment, two additional control consoles of the same model with sit & stand system for supervisors and room managers were requested; these feature allows operators to work either seated or standing and adjust their posture to the day’s needs.
The large widescreen video wall was also relocated to the new space.
Next to the large Master Control Room there is a smaller space with Advantis Air control consoles, also relocated from the previous area, which is used to support the operators in the main environment.

Due to the excellent performance of the technical furniture installed seven years ago, its ergonomics, robustness and ample space for organizing cabling and equipment, when Eurovision Services decided to implement a new Master Control Room, those in charge did not hesitate to take the existing control consoles with them.
Its high level of customizability has provided operators with a highly efficient and dynamic workstation throughout the years, and we are all confident that it will continue to do so in the future.
