The United Nations Global Compact seeks to obtain the commitment of companies worldwide to align their action strategies with four basic pillars such as human rights, labor standards, the environment and the fight against corruption, at the same time as promotes compliance with the Sustainable Development Goals in the private sector. The mission of the Pact is to achieve an international movement of sustainable companies so that, together with other actors in society (governments and citizens), a better world is achieved.
GESAB has once again demonstrated its concern with the environment that surrounds it by renewing its adherence to the program after the presentation of the progress report, which allows certifying, through the actions carried out according to the Ten Universal Principles indicated, its real commitment to the society. These ten indicators are essential to corroborate compliance with the pillars set by the United Nations.
Thus, in recent times GESAB has made progress in expanding its Management systems, renewed its Quality, Environment and Occupational Risk Prevention certificates and implemented Social Responsibility practices. The Code of Ethics of the company has also been made public to company workers, customers and suppliers, instilling good practices to create a more honest, healthy and sustainable environment. In addition, the mission, vision and values have been redefined to align all parties on the same path.
The main objective of GESAB with its confirmation in adhering to the United Nations Global Compact is to continue on a path undertaken some time ago: to be a more sustainable company and whose employees, partners, suppliers and customers feel proud to be part of it.
