Customized Advantis NG control consoles, DeskWall and DataWall complete the new control center of the Alcobendas Local Police.
The CECOM of the Alcobendas Local Police in Madrid had not been updated for over 10 years, so it was already relying on technologically obsolete resources and had few options for successfully facing the future.
Most suitable project proposal
The control center operators needed more technologically advanced systems to provide the city with the greatest security and to be able to handle the necessary emergency, traffic management, and mobility situations that often arise.
Therefore, the administration decided to organize a public competition, to which GESAB submitted the proposal that best met the needs defined by those responsible, and we were awarded the project to renovate the control center. Our proposal allowed the Local Police to provide the city of Alcobendas with a benchmark center in the field of citizen security, equipped for the future through the most advanced technology.
Innovation, technology and ergonomics
The project consisted of a complete renovation of the existing control center. Our team of experts took on an empty, already dismantled space, installing raised floors, a false ceiling, vertical cladding, partition walls between the different areas, providing the most appropriate lighting, and adapting the air conditioning system to all workspaces.
The technical furniture model selected was Advantis NG, a range of powerful ergonomic control consoles with extensive cable management capabilities that boost and maximize 24/7 work in the critical environment. Five operating stations were implemented with a sit & stand system, allowing operators to work both standing and sitting, while maintaining their health.
To manage the operators’ various systems, applications, and power supplies, the DeskWall universal management platform was implemented. This advanced management system provides operators with complete control from a single unit using a single keyboard and mouse, without having to worry about which server the power supply is being launched from.

Additionally, DataWall, the video wall controller with the most sources available on the market, was implemented to manage the video wall sources. This dynamic and easy-to-use system will allow operators more efficient and immediate control of the city’s cameras and security systems.

The meeting room attached to the control room was separated by a transparent partition, allowing CECOM staff to view the room’s operations and the video wall in the event of a crisis or important event.
The room was also equipped with a 12-seat Advantis NG series conference table to provide the space with state-of-the-art, coordinated furniture throughout.
Our team also implemented the home automation systems for the control center, projectors, and technical room. A 360-degree project tailored to the requirements of the Alcobendas Local Police.
A control center prepared for the future
Thus, the new CECOM offers a control center with the latest technology adapted to both the present and future of citizen security, as well as an efficient and scalable work environment should the situation require it.
